Procurement Buyer Analyst

Producing more than a billion pounds of high-quality aluminum sheet each year, Oswego represents Novelis' first U.S. operation and stands today as the company's largest wholly-owned fabrication facility in North America. Equipped for aluminum scrap remelting, ingot casting and hot and cold rolling, Novelis Oswego generates premium aluminum products used primarily by the beverage can, building and construction and automotive markets, and in multiple industrial product applications.

This position is responsible for:
Analyze data and statistics in various internal and external forms and presentfor decision making purposes. Extensive use of computer databases, electronicspreadsheets and statistical applications. Ability to manipulate and analyzedata in order to provide findings and analysis in a format that allows its useby all appropriate personnel and divisions of the organization
Conduct statistical and strategic analysis which includes preparing monthly, quarterly,annual, and on-request reports
Perform a variety of strategic, tactical, and administrative duties relating to the systematic process of collecting, categorizing, analyzing, and disseminating timely, accurate, and useful information
Maintaining stores blanket orders/low risk low dollar commodities, This includes close relationship with the Oswego Stores Coordinator and Procurement Agents, and NNA Corporate Procurement Category management
Implementing recommendations to improve the purchasing and materials managementefficiency and effectiveness of all materials.
Actively support EHS policy, align decisionsand actions with the EHS management system and integrate EHS performance inday-to-day operations.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree Required.
3-5 years of administrative/analytical experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
High degree ofproficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines underpressure and work well in a team environment.
