Human Resource Assistant

A Human Resource Assistant is needed for the internal offices at Career Connections in our Athens, Ohio office. Will be assisting appointments with application paperwork, monitoring a testing lab, and assisting with onboarding tax paperwork. Will be acting as the office receptionist by greeting walk-ins and answering a multi-line telephone. Will be preparing email and formal letter correspondence, filing, and keeping an inventory count on assembled tax and application packets. Various projects assigned as needed and as time will allow.
This is a temporary, full-time job starting mid-May, 2015, and lasting approximately two months to cover for a medical leave. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pay is commensurate with experience.
To qualify for this position, candidates must be highly organized, enjoy a fast paced environment, and have excellent customer service skills. Must be computer proficient, especially on MS Word and Excel. Those with previous database experience will be given preference. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Previous experience in a human resource role is helpful, but not required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
