Product Engineers
SanDisk Corporation needs Product Engineers in Milpitas, California to provide production support engineering for a specific product or group of products after transfer from design to high volume production. Interface with system, design, device, test, quality, and reliability engineering to deliver root cause and corrective action, related to RMA and internal qual failures during product introduction/ramp/sustaining. Perform NAND memory electrical failure analysis on issues related to circuit design, process random defects (including manufacturing excursion). Upon failure analysis and root cause determination, deliver corrective actions in form of test screens/stresses. Collect electrical data using bench/lab tools (e.g. on automated test equipment, logic analyzer, oscilloscope), perform required data analysis on the results (both from reliability and statistical point of view) based on system/customer/internal requirements. Deliver formal reports for both internal /external consumption. Understand system interaction with memory, and propose new methods or automated tools to improve failure analysis capabilities.
Employer will accept Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field and 2 years of work experience in job offered or 2 years of work experience in a product engineer-related occupation. Education or experience must include: 1) Semiconductor Processing or Device Physics with emphasis on MOSFET operation; 2) NAND/NOR flash memory operation and hands on experience with flash memory architectures (SLC, MLC, multi plane); 3) Typical flash failure modes, reliability constrains, product probe/test flow; 4) Ability to use the analytical tools provided on various test equipment, such as Logic analyzer, Curve Tracer, or Oscilloscope; 5) Automated Test Equipment (ATE) such as Nextest Maverick/Magnum, along with C/C+
or other object oriented programming language; 6) and Data analysis tool experience using Yield tools and JMP/Excel tools. Experience may be gained concurrently.
