This position administers complex State of Michigan Windows based OS environments using load balancing, redundancy, disaster recovery, failover and clusters. These systems provide critical services to State of Michigan Employees and residents. Environments may include clusters based on Windows platforms hosting Red Card critical applications Bridges, Mediware, WIC, New Born Screening, etc. Responsibilities include administration of all versions of Microsoft Windows OS and hardware. Duties include OS installation, OS upgrade, patch management, software installation, user management, print management, file system administration, system security, problem management, performance management, and proper change control. All functions must be performed in coordination with other Windows administrators and Application administrators to avoid adverse impact to the operating environment. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, communication and implementation of system administration activities. Must be able to maintain good working relationship with other staff, agencies, vendors, and end users. Maintains system documentation on issues such as, system changes, disaster recovery, system management procedures, system trouble shooting, unique system features, and system configuration. Activities should follow all DTMB policies and procedures and follow industries best practices. This position serves as subject matter expert (SME) and mentors lower level staff in supporting 400 systems that include virtualization, multi zone architecture and clustered systems for Windows system
maintenance, design and security.
Required Education and
Experience:
Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree with at least 21 semester (32 term) credits in computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, or mathematics.
Experience
Four years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11 or one year equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst 12.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
