Failure Analysis Engineers
SanDisk Corporation needs Failure Analysis Engineers in Marlborough, Massachusetts to analyze, debug and identify root cause of failure. Troubleshoot hardware utilized in solid state devices. Ability to work with analog and digital hardware systems. Determine system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies. Develop and recommend corrective actions. Utilizes graduate-level research and analysis skills.
Employer will accept Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field. Education or experience must include:
1. Schematic capture tool and PCB design tools;
2. Utilizing oscilloscopes, power supplies, multi-meters, function generators;
3. Solder and Perform minor PCB rework;
4. Testing and debugging embedded systems;
5. Determining root cause failures, Analyze root cause issues in hardware domain;
6. Secondary sourcing debugging for hardware changes;
7. Power circuits and the design of low voltage DC power systems;
8. Regulator feedback compensation and gain/phase margin analysis;
9. Board layout fundamentals including stackup, power/ground planes, and impedance control; and
10. Configuration management, BOM management, and document control.
Experience may be gained concurrently.
