Marketing Specialist
Job Summary
HCN is looking for a full-time talented Marketing Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for developing, designing and implementing marketing strategies and content across a variety of platforms that meet the strategic needs of the organization. Technology expertise and demonstrable skills in the creation of presentations, video, and print and online collateral are required for this position. The successful candidate will be an organized self-starter, will have excellent communication skills, and will be detail-oriented and data-driven.
The Marketing Specialist has the following key
Responsibilities:
Creating sales collateral and presentations to support revenue generation
Doing market research (demographics, statistics, etc.)
Designing and ordering business cards, rack cards, certificates, signs/posters for events
Handling trade agreements
Using databases to support circulation and sales teams
Organizing community events across Houston
Communicating with media partners
Shooting and editing videos for sales and marketing
Requires above average technical skills, including experience with graphics, presentation, and mapping software, video, spreadsheets, etc.
Requires strong written and verbal communications skills
Requires community involvement across Houston to support 7 offices
College degree in marketing related field preferred
Marketing experience preferred
Qualifications
Eligible candidates will have Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related discipline and minimum 3 years' professional experience, preferably in a public sector environment. Other requirements include experience using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Illustrator) for developing print and web graphics/content layout, Email platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and high proficiency with social networking technologies.
