Diesel Technician (Mobile)

The Mobile Diesel Technician will be responsible for timely repair and maintenance of light-heavy duty diesel vehicles and RV's to ensure a safe and efficient fleet. This position requires a working knowledge related to Heavy Duty diesel engine diagnosis, repairs and maintenance. An understanding of electrical, hydraulics, PM and BIT inspection, PC and some software knowledge is required. We need someone with current experience, who has not been out of the business for more than two years at most! Generator Experience a MUST!
POSITION INFORMATION:
o Shift: Tuesday-Saturday: 12pm-8pm (Sunday-Monday on call if needed)
o Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
o Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
o Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
o Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
o Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicle
o Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures Perform other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:
o Must have at least 5 years' experience performing diesel vehicle maintenance.
o Previous experience with Generators and electrical
o Mobile Technician experience a plus
o Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
o Must be able to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds
o Must provide own hand tools
o Ability to follow instructions and complete required training
o Basic computer skills
o Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
o Must be able to work with or around chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
o Must have a valid driver's license
Physical Requirements:
o Ability to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds.
o Ability to move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
o Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
o Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
o Able to work varying shifts.
Working conditions:
o Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job
o Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise
o Exposure to climate conditions of the geographic area while working away from the normal work area along highways, streets and overpasses
o Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
