Position Title: Christian Education Student Ministry Coordinator

Job Purpose: To implement and maintain a comprehensive and unified church-wide Christian Education ministry program fifth through twelfth grade and college outreach programming. Position reports directly to the Director of Christian Education and Development who has overall responsibility for a unified Christian Education for the church.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES
Build and establish relationships with the children, youth, adults, parents and volunteers of the FPCB family and members within the community.
Be engaged in all aspects of 5th through 12th grade programming, any regularly planned weeknight programs, Sunday evening (E.P.I.C. Youth Team) and coordinate Confirmation.
Maintain and expand a successful college outreach program to provide students of FPCB a continued connection to the FPCB family.
Organize mission outreach programs including local, national, and international youth mission trips.
Work together, as deemed necessary by the Director of Christian Education and Development, with the appropriate Session members, Deacons, support teams, and ministry partners.
Direct, organize and schedule monthly Student Ministry Focus Team meetings in compliance with overall CE vision.
Work with the Student Ministry Focus Team to implement strategies, events, and programs for children's ministry in consultation with the Director of Christian Education and Development.
Assist the Director of Christian Education and Development in the drafting of an approved Student Ministry Programming Budget.
Manage the approved Student Ministry Programming Budget.
Recruit and maintain a consistent schedule of volunteers for all relative programming and the Student Ministry Focus Team.
Ensure all FPCB rules, policies and procedures regarding volunteer recruitment and coverage are followed.
Along with the Director of Christian Education and Development, provide periodic volunteer training sessions throughout the year to ensure all volunteers in the Student Ministry are educated in church policies, FPCB Focus and Purpose Teams orientation, and emergency procedures.
Prepare various Student Ministry communication materials, including Power Point slides and written articles to promote various events and special announcements.
Maintain website in relation to student ministry programs and events.
Attend scheduled weekly FPCB staff meetings.
Schedule, plan, and execute family relational events with the support of the Student Ministry Focus Team.
Organize local mission outreach programs in collaboration with the Mission Purpose team, student and children's ministry focus teams.
Complete other tasks as assigned.

REQUIRED
Qualifications:
Be a person of strong Christian faith who continually strives to grow spiritually and is willing to share his/her journey of faith with others openly and honestly.
Experience working, connecting, and building positive relationships with children and/or youth either through paid employment or volunteer efforts.
Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Software including Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word.
Possess the ability to multi-task and easily adapt to change.
Possess excellent organizational skills.
Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Possess excellent time management skills.
Possess the ability to be flexible in terms of overall work schedule.
Possess a working knowledge of cell phone operation including text messaging.
Hold a valid driver's license.
Possess an excellent driving safety record.
Own and operate a reliable mode of transportation.

PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Possess a Bachelor's Degree. (Christian Studies, Child Development or Education Preferred).
Experience in volunteer recruitment and scheduling.
Experience in event and meeting planning.
Experience in budget planning and expense management.
Experience in non-profit organizations through paid employment or volunteer efforts.
Experience with web site design, utilization and overall web site management.

WORK SCHEDULE

The hours for this position include Sundays and, on occasion, evenings and Saturdays. This position offers a flexible work schedule allowing for the employee to have the option to work virtual with the understanding that the employee is expected to work out of their FPCB office three days a week including Sunday and on the day of FPCB Staff meetings. Please note all business related expenses incurred while working virtual will be covered by the employee.
Note that this is a full time position of 40 hours even though 3 days minimum required in the office each week.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
