Job Summary
Plans, coordinates, and directs all aspects of process-related functions in the manufacturing area to ensure continuous production of quality products consistent with established standards at the most efficient rate possible.
Essential Functions
Works with the customer as required on tool repairs, improvements, and engineering changes.
Responsible for developing and implementing continuous process improvements and systems for manufacturing department.
Assists in training manufacturing staff on new tooling and jobs and provides required documentation.
Assists in troubleshooting all process-related issues.
Analyzes and assists in researching alternate or new materials.
Assists Manufacturing and Quality departments with tool and process improvements for quality, productivity, and scrap reduction.
Coordinates tool repairs and engineering changes, working with customers and tool shops as required.
Maintains PCN, Tool Movement, Build Requests, Sample Logs
Acts as Launch Manager during launch and assists Launch team with coordination of sample scheduling and runs. Maintains run records. Reports results of each run to the respective Project and Quality teams.
Develops and implements systems used for all process documentation, variable control, and job set-up.
Enforce safety rules daily.
Actively intervene to correct recognized unsafe actions and conditions.
Conduct daily observations of PPE use and safe work practices adherence and coach employees as needed.
Ensure that all accidents including first aid are reported.
Follow all safety guidelines established by this facility on a daily basis. Noncompliance to the safety policy will result in disciplinary action and/or termination.


Develop Temporary Work Order (TWO) instructions and procedures and train employees.
Assist in the installation of new equipment
Test newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications
Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Ergonomics, and Automation

Education / Experience
Bachelor of Science Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Plastics) preferred
Minimum of 3 year's experience as a Process Engineer in an automotive injection molding production environment
Supervision and/or management training and/or experience preferred
Accountabilities
This position reports directly to the Operations (Assistant Plant) Manager
Must be US Citizen or current holder of Green Card not requiring additional sponsorship
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
