Vice President of Software Development

NW Recruiters is seeking a Vice President of Software Development. This role will be responsible for recruiting and interviewing, with the skills and urgency to attract key individuals and build a great team.

Key
Responsibilities:
Lead a high-performance engineering group that consistently delivers high-quality product releases on time.
Collaborate with Product Management on product strategy and roadmap development for all products.
Assist with the design and development of critical features.
Maintain a well-tested and accessible codebase through rigorous automation and constant re-factoring.
Drive visibility of all active engineering projects across the company, with predictable release targets.
Represent the company externally with prospects, customers, partners, and within the industry at large as well as academic institutions.

Job Requirements
Proven track record of developing complex software products in a fast-moving environment
Seven plus years of experience in software development, including a minimum of five years at a lead or management level
A willingness to be hands-on in the initial stages of development
Experience leading development organizations employing an agile development process
B.S. in computer science, mathematics or a related field preferred, an M.S. or Ph.D. a plus
Direct experience with one or more of the following: Hadoop, MPP databases, machine learning
Excellent communication skills in both written and oral forms, with staff members, customers, and the executive team
Ability to understand the business and apply technology solutions to deliver results and products, while staying current in technology trends
Experience in a software startup is a must.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
