JOB
Summary:
This position is to build and test fiber optic and electronic sub-assemblies.
Duties include fiber splicing, fiber management, electro-mechanical and fiber optic assembly operations.
Tests printed circuit boards and wires subassemblies.
Performs optical and electronic acceptance tests; diagnoses and debugs problems identified during testing.
Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing these operations.
Works under general supervision.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Build and test fiber optic subsystems.
Splice and manage polarization maintaining optical fibers.
Work with optical assemblies and custom electronic test equipment to perform test and calibration.
Perform a wide variety of optical, electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Test electronic circuits using basic test methods.
Work with optical engineers to create prototype optical and electronic assemblies.
Record test and build data into electronic files as assemblies are tested.
Support the design, integration and maintenance of test fixtures including off the self and special applications.
Help train other manufacturing personnel to perform operations and operate equipment.
Qualifications:
Minimum
Qualifications:
At least 1-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Experience with optical fibers and fiber optic components.
Ability to use computers for basic tasks.
Work independently and with a team.
Experience working in a fast paced, constantly expanding and changing environment.
Good organization, multi-tasking, communication, time management and documentation skills.
Experience with hand soldering and PCB assembly, including surface-mount components.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to frequently sit, reach within hands and arms length, climb or balance, and crouch.
Ability to use office equipment such as PC.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to regularly work with microscopes.
Manual dexterity required to regularly work with small hand tools.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
