Brokerage Associate
The Brokerage Associate role is a hybrid internal/external rep model with a focus on offering MassMutual's individual life, disability, LTC and fixed annuity products to brokers throughout AL, TN, MS and beyond in a business to business wholesale distribution channel.
This is not a scratch operation as last year it produced almost $400k of premium.
We are looking for a self starter with life and health insurance experience. Need to be sales oriented, but also understand there is growth in great customer service and relationships. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit but enjoy working in a team atmosphere and not completely on their own.
Base salary commensurate with experience plus commission in the form of overrides as well as benefits. Personal production is not only allowed, but encouraged.
Career path to Brokerage Director with profit sharing, deferred comp and other partner benefits.
We will supply an office with all necessary equipment and expense reimbursement for entertaining broker reps.
Great corner office with view of the city, Regions Field and the Vulcan.

o Ability to speak with C-Level executives in institutional accounts/large prodcuers and ask smart, open questions
o Phone & presentation skills
o Strong interpersonal skills
o CRM experience
o Low maintenance
o Experience selling insurance products and working knowledge of basic concepts and sales ideas
o Highly organized and strong time management skills
o Excellent written & verbal communication
o Ability to work in fast paced, changing environment with minimal direction
o Willingness to learn and grow in a start-up environment
