ACBS is the central system used for Loan Operations, and there are also a number of in-house built solutions around this to enable integration with the system stack.
The requirement is for a business analyst/Application developer to look at a number of strategic design areas. Once end to end solutions are defined the role will be to deliver the solution - delivering functional specifications and then moving to testing and implementation of the solutions.
Work with the various stakeholders, other IT teams and business subject matter experts to understand the target operating model and business requirements.
Work with the business analysts in the front to back teams to define an end to end architecture that then translates to delivery projects. Thereafter write the functional specifications for the delivery phases, helping the project manager to identify and resolve any potential dependencies, risks and issues.
Produce front to back testing strategy and plans and work with the Change test manager to ensure test plans are realistic and comprehensive.
Provide input to the implementation plans to ensure efficient and successful implementation
Understand the functional scope of project work, questioning decisions and collaborating with end-users to ensure that business needs are met on a timely basis.
Drafting initial design proposals for reviews by team leads and architects, and writing detailed technical specifications where appropriate.
Liaising with the Design authority and IT teams in other regions to ensure that all new components fit within guiding principles.
Following good processes and practices, as defined by the team standards; ensuring that documentation is complete, comprehensive and signed off.
Providing Knowledge Transition to junior and new members of the team
Liaising with BA's and Project Managers for clarity development requirements
Collaborating with business analysts and senior colleagues in order to determine the functional and technical specifications
Developing work breakdown structures and detailed estimates, assisting in project planning and related project artefacts
Highlight risks and opportunities, planning mitigating actions and documenting them in a log
Liaising closely with Dev manager in managing India resource utilization
Hands-on involvement with the design of solutions
Perform reviews of technical specifications, code and artifacts produced by the team
Oversight of the development team during the implementation of the solution
Liaising closely with the test teams to ensure that QA processes are relevant and thorough
Working with the release teams to ensure smooth deliveries
Reviewing the progress of a project according to its plan, maintaining and reporting status updates to the development manager and stake holders
Ensure processes and practices are followed, documentation is complete, comprehensive and signed off, and defects are tracked & closed
Hands on development, organize and provide support during SIT, QA and UAT test phases.
Ensure release plans and coordinating release walkthroughs with the environment managers and eams
Acting as a escalation point of contact for support team, investigating and resolving issues found in production
Providing on-call support for releases where necessary
Ensure requests from the support team is promptly responded
Handle technical issues that are out of scope for the support staff.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a quantitative discipline e.g. statistics, physics or mathematics preferred

years of experience in ACBS application, including Technical knowledge. Functional knowledge will be preffered.
5
years IBM System i (AS/400) development experience, including CL and RPG programming, Query/400 and SQL.
Preferred
Qualifications:
LANSA development experience.
Good understanding of Operations technology solutions and the E2E business flows between the various functions in the back office.
Track record of successful AGILE project delivery through strong analysis focus.
Strong business analysis experience - showing an ability to delve deep into an area and understand the implications of key design decisions and assert recommendations.
Proven delivery of more than one in-house build project, preferably in cross product and in an investment banking environment.
Demonstrable contribution to strategic application design.
Experienced in organising and running successful workshops.
Ability to work in a matrix managed environment and a proven delivery in a collaborative environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong collaboration skills working across boundaries and building strong, long term working relationships.
Proficiency with Powerpoint, Visio and other MS Office applications.
Experience with Java, XML and SQL would be valuable
Previous experience of ACBS application would be highly advantageous
Previous experience in AS400 iSeries web services would be preffered
General understanding of the finance markets and environment
Specific product knowledge of any of the following is beneficial: Loans processing, FX, commodities, debt products, credit derivatives, equities, and other derivative products
Microsoft Office suite in particular MS Excel and PowerPoint
Strong analysis skills
Ideally experience of ACBS and Loan Operations business
Experience in AS400 iSeries Web services
