Automotive Service Technician

The Service Technician is responsible for servicing and repairing vehicles as assigned by the Service Manager, Team Leader, or ASM. In addition, the Service Technician may also be assigned to conduct pre-delivery service on new vehicles to ensure excellent working order upon delivery to the customer. The ideal Service Technician has an unrestricted driver's license, clean driving record, a minimum of one year of dealer-level or large facility experience, post-secondary automotive training and a strong technical performance record.
1. Expertly diagnoses issues based upon experience, analysis, and testing
2. Maintains leading-edge knowledge of automotive diagnosis technology, digital manuals, and reference materials
3. Possesses an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact
4. Performs routine service inspections and tests and lubricate engines and other major components
5. Repairs automobiles and light trucks that run on gasoline, electricity, or alternative fuels, such as ethanol
6. Adapts to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry and in the diagnostics arena

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
