Automatic Press Operator
We are actively searching for dedicated career minded candidates for positions as a Automatic Press Operator.
Summary:
Operates automatic presses, and secondaries as needed, in accordance with work
instructions and procedures
Principle Duties and/or
Responsibilities:
Properly threads raw material into the die, station by station, and proceeds to produce acceptable parts
Operates machine to specified requirements
Inspects parts for conformance by following in-process procedures
Has the authority to place any suspected nonconforming products on hold.
Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skill Requirements:
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and
correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of
the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent
and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several
concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to stand. The employee frequently is required to walk and climb or balance. The
employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must
frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of
electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
