Line Cook; Cafe Associate
Provides lightly seasoned, nutritionally adequate and varied diet for drivers and associates. Performs cooking duties with other workers. Serves salads, vegetables, meat, and breads as indicated by customer. Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator. Scrubs, polishes counters, steamables and other equipment. Cleans work area, equipment and utensils, segregates and removes garbage and steam cleans or hoses garbage containers. Replenishes foods at serving stations. Brews coffee and tea. Carves meat. Totals check and accepts payment for food if applicable. Wipes tables and seats with dampened cloth if applicable. Transports trash and waste to disposal area. Inventories supplies and equipment.
Industrial kitchen experience is a plus. Must have a strong work history. Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Position requires frequent walking, head turning, bending, reaching and grasping; constant standing forward reaching and grasping. Candidate must be able to lift and carry 80lbs and push and pull minimally. Primarily indoor working environment with controlled heating and cooling with varying exposure to chemical odors. We are looking to hire first, and second. Must have reliable transportation.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
