This role has full leadership responsibility for all retail products marketing, product management, and strategy, and will focus on growing product brands and image through innovative and aggressive marketing strategies.
KEY DELIVERABLES:
Generation of new revenue growth with future customers, retention of existing customers and introduction of new product and channels for continued growth within the retail jewelry division. Assist the National VP of Sales to develop a coherent and flexible business development strategy that delivers on-target business growth.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Strategy Development and Execution
Develop and implement long-term strategy for the retail business including partnering with cross-functional peers to develop tactics to execute this strategy
Provide strategic vision and guidance regarding retail business to ensure performance against current objectives without sacrificing future growth
Identify retail opportunity areas and build strategic plans to capitalize on those opportunities
Direct the planning, development and execution of strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
Create Annual Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures; including input to distribution strategy & product roadmap.
Create Brand Strategic Positioning; including brand vision, consumer target, distribution strategy, brand extensions, communication plans.
Marketing/Brand Management
Create Annual Operating Brand Plan including volume/pricing plan, brand initiatives, distribution plans, and manufacturing/operating plans in coordination with Sales and Product Development.
Responsible for brand initiatives in plan.
Reforecast volume, average price, metal mix/product mix, expenses on a monthly basis or as requested
Break plan down into prioritized initiatives and further into objectives, programs and tactics.
Create consumer & trade annual advertising/marketing plan and implement.
Understand every touch point of the consumer and retailers.
Ensure continuous improvement projects, e.g. customer service.
Identify and drive new product ideas, extensions and enhancements.
Develop and implement brand core initiatives. Requires building strong relationships and communication with Customer Service, Finance, Sales, and Manufacturing etc.
Create annual marketing plans/promotions for retailers/distributors/sales representatives.
Create in collaboration with sales force and provide sales force with market ready tools.
Develop ongoing research to measure customer and consumer satisfaction and brand perception.
Conduct consumer & trade research to determine consumer needs, product trends.
Transfer research knowledge into actionable product & distribution opportunities.
Partner with Product Development in bringing new products to market.
Manage agencies and/or Creative Services to perform necessary brand needs.
Oversee the creation of all promotional materials needed.
Disseminate brand plans and promise throughout CBI organization.
Communicate brand strategies and performance to Executive Team as needed.
Brand Guidelines
Ensure common understanding of Brand style guidelines among Marketing, Creative Services and Sales
Enforce adherence to brand guidelines as needed
Account/Customer/Partnership Management
Establish and maintain effective Marketing/Sales Advisory Councils gathering feedback and alignment/support on a regular basis
Manage marketing contacts at key customers: define with account manager.
Manage product and program tests.
Support sales in promotion implementation and adjustments needed to programs
Leverage & support key customers on-line initiatives.
Develop sales presentations/bid presentations and support in selling in programs when needed.
Support sell-in efforts for new distribution opportunities.
Provide sufficient lead times on promotions to ensure account participation and compliance
I Industry Management
Provide key customers with category information and customer analysis as needed.
Manage the analysis for post program analysis (ROI).
Attend trade show and support in planning for event/programs.
Deep understanding of current category, category direction, and competitors.
General Administrative
Develop and manage total retail marketing budget(s)
Develop and manage revenue and expense budgets on monthly basis or more frequently if needed
Determine overall ROI for brand and detail by program.
Ecommerce Management
Manage web sites strategies to ensure Brands and customer web sites fully leveraged
Develop annual Internet advertising plan by brand.
Recommend improvements for use and reach.
Implement all web site programs & strategies.
Work with IT/Ecommerce Marketing Manager to determine web site priorities and ensure timelines are adhered to.
Manage any online advertising or email campaigns with appropriate departments and external vendors.
Ensure effective and efficient launch of all new product online with online partners.
Work with Sales and Director of Creative Services to leverage existing relationships to provide incremental volume
Analyze web site financial results
Ensure all content is updated at an appropriate frequency and is impactful.
Management
Assign work and responsibilities; manage and motivate marketing team; build marketing expertise and program management skills among the group.
Prepare and monitor annual operating budget for people, and other direct expenses; review and monitor all related expenditures.
Controls expenses within agreed budgets which will be return justified and monitored on an on-going basis for control and productivity.
Provide vision to help direct product development efforts on the brands to meet the growing needs of customers and to attract new customers, while maintaining the Companys high quality and value image.
Coach, guide and manage Marketing Manager/Associate Marketing Manager(s). Develop direct report(s) as high performer in all aspects of position and help develop in opportunity areas identified.

Experience:
Bachelor's degree
5-7 years marketing experience required
3-5 years marketing management experience required
Other:
Position based in Austin, Texas
30-40% travel per month to various locations is requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
