Responsibilities:
The Tax IT Report Developer role is responsible for the creation of reports to provide end users with self-service access to required data from various Tax reporting systems.
Responsibilities of the Report Developer include:
o Involvement in business requirements gathering for report design with end users
o Design and documentation of report specifications
o Building reports using Microsoft Excel Power Query, PowerPivot, and Reporting Services tools
o Developing underlying database views, queries, tables, and other database components in a SQL Server 2014 environment
o Organizing and managing reports in a Microsoft SharePoint 2013 environment
o Cultivating a strong understanding of the data and how it relates to the underlying business process
o Provide input to the technical team on managing and structuring large volumes of data to deliver reasonable reporting performance
REQUIRED SKILLS &
Experience:
o At least 3 years relevant experience in report development
o Thorough knowledge of Microsoft reporting and database tools, including Excel Power Query and PowerPivot, SharePoint, Reporting Services, and SQL Server
o Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel functionality and design techniques, including pivot tables, vlookup and other advanced spreadsheet functions, formatting and presentation techniques, and familiarity with VBA coding
o Strong database query design capability in a Microsoft SQL Server environment
o Familiarity with common reporting tools such as Business Objects, Cognos, Qlikview, MS Access, etc.
o Excellent data analysis skills
o Understanding of data modeling concepts, including relational and dimensional structures
o Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and techniques
o Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Systems or related field
Desired Skills & Experience
o Knowledge of finance, tax, and financial systems
o Experience with billing and purchasing business processes
o Knowledge of the Telecom industryEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
