Campus/Center Director for Innovative Private School

Position: Campus Director
The Director of the school is an integral part of the administrative team. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day activities and outcomes of the school and is also responsible for overseeing student recruitment and growth strategies.
This is a full-time, year round position, and with frequent required evening and weekend hours.
Travel will be required with emphasis initially on the surrounding areas of the East Bay with focus in the Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, and Concord areas. All candidates must possess the willingness to adapt to a hard working, rapidly growing, aggressive and dynamic company culture.

School Operations
Responsibilities:
o Create and motivate a strong school academic culture
o Work to increase employee morale on an ongoing basis
o Build a solid foundation for strong educational practices
o Work independently while managing and growing all aspects of the school
o Lead and assess staff members, monitor student progress, and maintain a safe and friendly atmosphere in the school
o Meet with potential students and their families
o Observe and effectively evaluate teacher and administrative staff
o Bring enthusiasm and passion to the school

Customer Service:
o Maintain strong relationships with both the customer and parents
o See and encourage customer feedback
o Provide consistent, compassionate customer service to parents, students and referral sources
o Provide consistent communication both within the school and with all stakeholders
o Personal motivation and passion about achieving goals and deadlines
o Persuasive communication skills, with a strong customer focus

Budget:
o Exceed all top line and bottom line targets
o Monitor and manage school budget including tuition payments

Academic:
o Meet all requirements and maintain good standing with all of the Company's creditors and class approvals, including but not limited to WASC, NWAC, NCAA and UC.
Requirements include interim self-studies and any accreditation requirements.
o Monitor school activities as the person directly responsible and accountable for ensuring the fulfillment of educational goals and outcomes of the school
o Assist WASC coordinator in the accreditation process
o A solid foundation in best educational practices
o Knowledge of general CA education codes and requirements

Sales and Marketing:
o Optimize all local marketing channels that have been identified.
o Manage and respond to all inbound leads. Each lead should be easily tracked at all stages of the process through our Sales-force platform.
o Build and foster relationships with local public and private educational institutions
o Build and foster relationships with local educational consultants, psychologists, Cob's, etc.
o Participate in marketing events on behalf of the school and company at large.
o Develop an on-the-ground plan that will incorporate a variety of strategies to reach and exceed enrollment goals.
o Work in conjunction with the regional Director of Community Engagement and Enrollment during the implementation of enrollment/recruitment efforts.
o Conduct enrollment/recruitment events throughout the year that are both face-to-face and online
o Develop awareness of the school among community organizations, businesses, and various educational institutions
o Utilize staff and Advisory Counsels and board members, as well as their connections, to support enrollment initiatives
o Partner with parents and students to develop awareness of the school through word-of-mouth campaigns and referrals.
o Utilize images, video, and compelling stories to promote school both internally and externally
o Assist in recommending updates to the school's public facing website as a space for information relating to and promotion of the school
o Communicate enrollment events as well as the positive impact that the school is having on students, families and communities through the use of traditional mediums and social media.
o Maintain Sales-force database of contacts through local and regional involvement
o Proper utilization of all school related technology (not limited to sales force, redline, Gmail, grade quick, I-pad, etc)

Lead community development efforts for students and parents that will result in an increased enrollment and retention rate:
o Develop an overarching community development plan that will incorporate a variety of strategies to increase student retention
o Participate actively in local Chambers of Commerce, business, professional, and education organizations as determined through market research and administrative leads
o Organize communication related to events and opportunities for students and parents.
Communicate with staff, parents, students and partners through a variety of formats
o Identify and coordinate parent volunteers and student leaders that will support the implementation of the community development plan
o Coordinate and deliver Quarterly Learning Gatherings for students and parents on topics that are relevant and timely
o Develop and deliver events and communications for students and parents during the summer months to maintain a high level of school engagement
o Oversee the development and publication of a quarterly school newsletter
o Identify and establish partnerships with community organizations, governmental agencies, and non-profits that will provide support and resources for families and staff

Professional

o Represent the program and the company in a positive and professional manner at all times
o Communicate with colleagues and supervisors on a regular basis and participate in internal meetings as scheduled

Key Relationships:
Internal: Regional Director of LA Region, Director of Community Engagement, Directors of other Campuses, Teachers, parents/guardians, Students and FIE corporate office staff
External: public and private schools, government agencies and other community-based organizations

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have:
o Bachelors Degree in Education or equivalent, required
o Masters Degree in Education or Business, preferred
o Teaching experience preferred
o 3-5 years managing program development and leadership experience in a school setting
o Experience with alternative or non-traditional education systems
o Experience with middle and high school-aged students
o Proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel is required
o Must have a great attitude and be a team player
o Must have a valid drivers license
o Must have reliable mode of transportation

Salary:
o Base Salary commensurate with experience
o Bonus structure dependent on minimum thresholds

The Campus Director will report to the Regional DirectorEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
