Purchasing Clerical Assistant
The Long-Lewis Hardware Company is seeking an ethical and passionate individual to handle an array of clerical duties within our purchasing department. Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be involved in:
Setting up new items and bill accordingly
Run and distribute various reports
Enter and follow through on special orders
Update system costs
Enter special prices
Follow up on open purchase orders
Aid in the proofing of promotional materials
Download special prices into the system
Bill and track vendors for all promotional events
Maintain vendor contact file and spreadsheet
Maintain and update vendor defective disposition list
Run and email vendor price change sheets
Maintain MSDS sheets and data
Maintain Haz-Mat listings and classifications
Set up new vendors and maintain the vendor file
Perform product and other computer maintenance involving descriptions, vendor item numbers, UPC numbers, etc.
Handle all paperwork involved for our annual trade show
Coordinate most aspects of our vendor week
Remind merchandisers of pending and upcoming deadlines
Assist in the tracking of available vendor rebates and co-op dollars
And many more duties
Candidate must be reliable, punctual and be able to work from our downtown location. Benefits include free parking, BC/BS medical and dental, vision care, 401K and more.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
