Corporate Controller - Orange County, California

Our fast growing mortgage banking client is seeking a Corporate Controller to join their team to lead the corporate financial accounting and financial reporting process. The Corporate Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Managing the daily accounting operations, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, and related financial reporting
Maintaining and managing the G/L accounts in accordance with GAAP and corporate objectives and policies
Preparing financial statement, trend, and variance analysis, and other reporting packages for senior and executive management
Recommending to ownership and senior management best practices such as accounting principles and procedures to ensure accurate reporting
Participating in the budgeting and forecasting activities along with ad hoc financing projects

The qualified Corporate Controller must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field. The qualified Corporate Controller must possess previous mortgage industry accounting experience and ideally will be knowledgeable with AMB Software. The Corporate Controller must be able to thrive in a fast paced, 'roll up the sleeves' environment and possess a pro-active, self-starting mindset. In addition, the Corporate Controller must have a strong sense of work ownership and the ability to take on complex responsibilities.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
