Job Summary
We are currently searching for a talented and hard working individual to join our Cleaver-Brooks team as a Corporate Tax Accountant. As the Corporate Tax Accountant, your responsibilities will include tax compliance and preparation, banking relationships, pension investments and general insurance functions of the Corporation. You will review and analyze data and devise risk minimization programs. Your Responsibilities
oApprise the Chief Financial Officer of all material issues in the areas of tax, insurance, real estate and benefit costs on a timely basis.
o Handle responsibilities with effective interpersonal skills and effectively interface with others inside and outside of the Company.
oOversee the Corporation's tax function including state and federal income and state sales tax planning and return preparation. Coordinate with the Company's outside tax preparer to complete returns in a timely manner.
oAssist CFO with sale of excess real estate.
oMaintain adequate and suitable insurance or self insurance programs, and make recommendations for the purpose of maintaining or improving the insurability of Corporate property.
oIn conjunction with insurance companies and other company staff, monitor product liability claims and prepare necessary data to secure or maintain insurance coverage.
oEnsure duties and company projects are accomplished in efficient and cost effective manners.
oEnsure staff adheres to Company policy and procedure.
oOther duties as directed.

Do you qualify?
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
3 Years experience in a public accounting firm
3 Years experience with Sales and Use Tax


Preferred Skills
o Certified Public Accountant
o Attributes necessary to meet this position's needs may include communication, motivation, team building, employee involvement, diplomacy, delegating, etc. skills as well as confidence and enthusiasm.
oProficient in MS Word, Excel, and other software/ERP programs (IFS experience preferred).
