Parts Room Order Clerk

Forging Aerospace company seeks Parts Room Order Clerk for the 1st shift.
SUMMARY
Processes parts requests made by supervisors or lead persons and generates requisitions from those quotes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. In performing functions, duties or tasks, employees are required to know and follow safe work practices, and to be aware of Company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations. All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable Company policies and procedures. In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of Company policies and procedures, employees are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives.
Generates and processes requisitions created by the automatic ordering system.
Contacts vendors to get accurate pricing and delivery information and applies appropriate tax and freight charges for those items requisitioned.
Follows up on the back order list to ensure prompt delivery of parts.
Follows up on repair of part orders.
Generates bar code labels from the iMaint system.
Carries out Parts Room Attendant duties and other departments duties as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before Company managers and employees. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percentages and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Have the ability to interface with vendor representatives in the following ways, via phone, email and personal contact.
Familiar with hand tools, safety equipment and basic supplies used in a manufacturing environment.
Computer literate, basic typing skills.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
