Business Data Analyst


Summary: Manages the improvement and maintenance of all Sales, Quality Assurance and Research & Development related data management systems; responsibilities include computer program design, system controls and protocols for performance, reporting and security. Trains related employees in any improvements made to the data collection or reporting systems.

Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Design new and improve existing computer programs by analyzing requirements and studying current system capabilities
o Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information
o Ensures data remains consistent across databases; data is clearly defined
o Ensures users access data concurrently, in a form that suits their needs and controlling access permissions and privileges
o Ensures there are provisions for data security and recovery control (all data is retrievable in an emergency)
o Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users
o Mapping out the conceptual design for a planned database; considering both back-end organization of data and front-end accessibility for end-users
o Map project tasks, flow, milestones and timetable
o Write and/or contribute to technical design documentation and specifications
o Refining the logical design so that it can be translated into a specific data model; further refining the physical design to meet system storage requirements
o Maintaining data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act
o Design, maintain and update system protocols and procedures
o Ensuring that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly; capacity planning
o Works closely with IT project managers, database programmers and multimedia programmers
o Communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security
o Commissioning and installing new applications and customizing existing applications in order to make them fit for purpose
o Develop and design reporting methods of testing data
o Increase effectiveness/accuracy/speed of all reporting/analytics requirements by automating these reporting requirements
o Designs and implements tools which aid in data capture, data cleansing, data monitoring, and reporting
o Evaluate potential software solutions to ensure they meet business or QA requirements
o Work with Sales & QA management on continuous improvement initiatives
o Manages and coordinates data activities and projects
o Ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines for master data
o Provide help desk support and training for users
o Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational courses, review of publications and through professional networks
o Other duties as assigned
Requirements Education and/or
Experience:
o Bachelor's Degree in Management/Computer Information Systems or Computer Science; or 5
years related data management experience.
o 3
years Project Management experience
o 3
years related experience working with Customer Service, Sales & Quality Assurance systems/applications
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
