Job Details:
Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science, medical technology or related laboratory sciences field
6 months to 1 year in clinical laboratory science or completion of externship at acute care facility or similar externship program in a clinical laboratory setting or equivalent education and/or experience
National Certification Agency for Medical Laboratory (NCA), National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NALCP) or equivalent within 6 months of hire
Good oral and interpersonal communication skills
Strong medical terminology
Strong organization skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently or as part of a team Must be detail oriented with strong analysis/problem solving skills
Knowledge of laboratory theory and technique
Work requires ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs or less
Prefer:
6 plus months experience in clinical laboratory
American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
