Summary:
Dynamic and numerous award winning Environmental Consulting Firm specializing in providing site investigation and remediation services for federal clients such as USEPA, DOD, DOE, USACE, US Navy, ect; actively seeks Staff Level Environmental Engineer or Environmental Geologist to join our thriving team in Walnut Creek, CA.
This is a long term full time career advancing opportunity to join our growing Bay Area office as a Staff Level Environmental Engineer or Geologist aiding in the support of USEPA and DOD contracts. Such environmental projects will include environmental site investigations, environmental sampling, oversight of contaminants removal activities and remediation, operations, maintenance and troubleshooting of remediation systems, and occasional emergency responses assignments.
Position Qualifications & Experience Needed:
Must have a Bachelors degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or closely related environmental field.
Must have a minimum of 2
years of demonstrated environmental consulting industry experience pertaining to environmental site investigation and remediation projects.
Must have OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and ability to obtain medical clearances for field hazardous waste sites required.
Hands on field experience with operations and maintenance and troubleshooting of remediation systems. (Strongly preferred)
Experience with the design / implementation of soil vapor extraction, air sparging, pump and treat, in-situ chemical oxidation, in-situ bioremediation (Strongly Preferred)
Ideal candidates will have skills and experience pertaining to environmental project plan development, completion reports, sample collection, oversight of contractors, technical report writing, and data analysis.
Positions will involve fieldwork, environmental field sampling, oversight of remediation activities, and possible large-scale emergency/disaster response.
Knowledge of sampling protocols and multi-media field sampling experience (Plus).
Strong technical writing and communication skills needed.
Knowledge of RCRA/CERCLA and other federal environmental regulations preferred.
On track to obtain California P.E. or P.G. Registration / License is preferred.
