Position: Senior Project Level Environmental Engineer, Environmental Geologist, or Environmental Scientist
Locations: Walnut Creek, California
Compensation: Highly competitive base salary plus great benefits and annual cash performance bonus. Salary will be dependent on candidate skill and experience level.

General Position
Summary:
The ideal and most qualified Project Level Environmental Engineer, Environmental Geologist, or Environmental Scientist will poses the following skills and
Experience:Minimum of at least 8 years of previous work experience within the environmental, engineering, or water resource consulting field.
Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience managing and executing environmental remediation construction projects.
Bachelors degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or closely related field.
Current 40 Hour HAZWOPER is strongly preferred.
Proficient in MS Office Suite Products.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to effectively interact with clients, regulatory agencies, field operations, technical staff and subcontractors.
Ability to write project work plans, health and safety plans, traffic control plans, erosion control plans, etc.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time to project sites, as needed.
State Registration / License as a Professional Engineer, P.E. or Professional Geologist, P.G. or other professional certification is a plus and preferred.
Demonstrated project management experience which includes operations start-up and close-down is a plus.
Experience with SVE systems - both installation and O&M
Demonstrated experience managing and executing environmental/remediation construction.
Previous involvement in preparing or contributing to project proposals is a plus.
Primary Role & Responsibilities for this Position:
Responsibilities will include project and task management, preparing technical reports, development and oversight of remedial/removal actions, field sampling and field procedures, supervision of soil and groundwater investigations.
Business development and preparation of proposals, personnel supervision, and assistance in staff development/mentoring in technical areas.
Capable of managing and preparing project proposals, including delegating various tasks and developing win themes
Developing an area of expertise and internal reputation as a technical resource in this area
Understands all aspects of project management, including scheduling, cost controls, and cost tracking
Manages client expectations and maintains routine communication with clients and regulatory agencies
Reports to program manager on project status
