Billing Office Manager

The Billing Office Manager is responsible for directing and managing the daily operations of the billing office, with the primary objective of ensuring that the practice is receiving the maximum possible reimbursement for services rendered to patients by our providers.
The ideal candidate would be someone who sees the challenges of revenue cycle management as something to get excited about, and uses this excitement to motivate the billing office staff and the practice providers.
Qualifications/Education:
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and/or Certified Dermatology coder

years experience managing a medical practice billing office.
Minimum of three years supervisory experience
First-hand experience with dealing with third party payer and patient billing issues in either a hospital or physician office setting.
Experience with and understanding of all aspects of computerized billing systems and interfacing with a clearinghouse. eClinical Works or Nextech experience preferred.
Experience with provider third party payor credentialing
Skills and Abilities:
Expert knowledge and training in CPT and ICD-9 coding and ICD-10
Ability to analyze, prioritize and assign billing workload to billing staff
Knowledgeable about all resources available for eligibility/referral/claim information (e.g., accessing third party payer internet sites).
Ability to coach and train providers in E&M and derm specific coding
Ability to perform internal coding audits and report results to providers and practice owners.
Word processing and Spreadsheet skills utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel
Outstanding customer service skills
Keen investigative skills
Sense of humor

Hours: 40 hours a week
Location: Plymouth office.
Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
