General Labor Warehouse with Strong QC and Shipping/Receiving Skills
Successful and growing Distribution/Manufacturing Company has an immediate need for an experienced and dynamic associate who possesses shipping & receiving, inventory control, quality control, logistics, and purchasing skills.
Responsibilities Include:
-Shipping/Receiving: loading and unloading carriers, packing small and large items and industrial machinery, drive forklift
-Logistics and Supply Chain: schedule and maintain inbound and outbound freight and ground pickups and shipments using various carriers, including domestic and international shipments. Scheduling shipments and making sure goods are shipped and received according to schedule. Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service personnel to fulfill goals and initiatives.
-Inventory Management: performing cycles, audits, and overall warehouse organization
-Quality Control: assist in ISO 9001 certification, implementing new procedures, and minimizing the propensity for defective products shipping to customers which includes incoming materials inspection, vendor review, and root cause analyses.
-Purchasing: assist in purchasing supplies,
Maintenance equipment and certain other goods. Expedite orders with vendors.
Required Skills/Attributes:
-Minimum 5 years experience performing relevant duties and a proven track record of success
-Computer Skills: ERP, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.). Must be especially proficient with Microsoft Excel and be able to prove this during an interview as this is critical to this position.
-Must be able to drive a forklift and lift up to 60-70lbs.
-Prior Quality Control experience an absolute must. Ability to read/make blueprints will put you to the top of the list. Also having prior parts inspection/certification/QC auditing experience will be extremely valuable.
-Bachelors Degree a Plus, but not a requirement
-Most important quality to possess: positive attitude and team player who has an outstanding work ethic.
