The Front End developer develops elegant and engaging user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Primary responsibilities are to understand and size design requirements, participate in UI solutioning, perform coding and unit testing, and resolve technical issues. Ideal candidate has a solid understanding of usability and best practices, maintains cutting edge skills, and develops using best practices and conventions.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years experience in front end development
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Extensive experience working with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Solid understanding of HTTP protocols, AJAX, REST, and JSON
General understanding of MVC, MVVM, and data binding
Experience with JQuery, Angular, and Bootstrap
Familiarity with current W3C standards, compatibility issues and fallback strategies for legacy browsers

Desired skills:
General understanding of server side technologies
Experience working with content management systems
Experience with CSS preprocessors (LESS and SASS)
Experience with version control systems like Git or subversion

Responsibilities
Participates in analysis and design of user interfaces and provides solutions and alternatives
Collaborates with business, design, development, and quality assurance team members to implement best in class solutions
Develops solutions according to specified design requirements
Writes optimal and efficient code using best practices and conventions
Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation
Keeps up to date in advancements in technologies and frameworks, and has zeal to learn
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
