Incorporated in 1965, the City of Carpinteria (pop 14,000+) is an inviting seaside community with an abundance of natural beauty and small town charm. Located in Santa Barbara County adjacent to
Highway 101, the City is located 12 miles south of Santa Barbara, CA, 12 miles north of Ventura, CA and 80 miles north of Los Angeles, CA.
The individual will ensure the safety of patrons in and around the pool by providing constant surveillance. Provide emergency medical care until emergency officials arrive. Maintain cleanliness
of the pool area and decks and ensures all hazards are removed. Complete safety reports and records as required and ensures positive relations are maintained with the public. Beach/tower lifeguards
must pass a swim test (1000 yards in 20 minutes or less). Pool Lifeguards will have to pass a 500 yards swim test in 10 minutes or less. Possess or has the ability to obtain American Red Cross Lifeguard
Certification.
The ideal candidate must possess current American Red Cross Standard First Aid Certificate, CPR certificate and current Lifeguard Training Instructor Certificate and Water Safety Instructor Certificate
or ability to obtain such certification within thirty (30) days of hire. To be considered for this position, applicants must submit a completed City employment application

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
