Vehicle Mechanic/ Technician

30 employee. We want an individual who wants to make a difference everyday that he/she is at work. Overtime can happen on daily or weekend basis. You must also be able to work with OEM engineers on testing and development work.
Lean manufacturing practices are a plus as we are striving to become a lean manufacturing company. Each and every job has a budgeted time allotted, you must be able to meet or beat this budget. This individual must have ideas on how to improve your/our processes that are performed on a daily basis.
Position Requirements
Experienced with all facets of performance upgrade work for late model GM, Ford, and Chrysler
Engine R & R, install heads, aftermarket camshafts, lifters, pushrods, etc.
Familiarity with Centrifugal, Roots, Screw type superchargers, and Turbo systems
Understanding and experience with upgrading suspension components
Installation of all major brands of headers and exhaust systems
Experience with upgrading fuel systems, and installing methanol injection systems
Wiring experience, familiarity with aftermarket gauges, aftermarket engine management wiring
Diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
Can Weld Mig and Tig
ASE and State of Michigan Mechanics certification - Required
Must have own Tools
Responsibilities and Duties
Strict attendance policy adherence is required
Assist all departments
Maintain clean shop and machines
Work in collaboration with others
Be pro-active in approach to creating better, more efficient work environment
Maintain and update job tracking hours on all jobs worked on
Have a positive attitude and offer solutions to problems
Be eager to learn new things and grow within the company
Strive for only the best quality workmanship and nothing less
8 hour work days, full-time employment, benefits after 90 dayEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
