Summary of Position
The Teen Outreach Program is a new program designed to increase outreach to local teens in the community ages 14-20. The program will target under-served teens from the surrounding community who may benefit from the variety of services and offerings of BCNY Clubhouses. BCNY will utilize a peer-to-peer outreach model that focuses on having current BCNY Teens serve as Teen Outreach Workers who conduct community outreach in their communities, schools, and local public spaces to increase awareness of and participation in BCNY programs.
The Teen Outreach Coordinator is a part time position (approximately 20 hours per week for the duration of the program) that will oversee the implementation of the eight-week Teen Outreach Program. The Coordinator will be responsible for managing six BCNY Teens Outreach Workers and two adult volunteers. The Coordinator will conduct research on outreach sites and create a strategy for Teen Outreach Workers to communicate with local teens who may be unfamiliar with BCNY programming.
The Coordinator must be available to work on Saturdays.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
o Manage a team of six teen outreach workers and two adult volunteers in recruiting new members ages 14-20.
o Research and develop a strategy for peer-to-peer outreach for recruiting new teen members ages 14-20. Communicate this strategy with Teen Outreach Workers and adult volunteers.
o Initiate relationships and communicate with local schools and community organizations to identify teens whom may benefit from BCNY services.
o Organize and facilitate an orientation and outreach training for teen outreach workers and adult volunteers.
o Follow up with new interested teens and serve as a liaison to BCNY clubhouses.
o Conduct weekly meetings with teen outreach workers and volunteers to review progress and set goals.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum two years related work experience with youth or community outreach programs.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
