Position: Staff Dentist

Reports to: Dental Director/ Administrator

Supervises: None

Salary: Negotiable Classification: Exempt

Position
Summary:
Plans and implements Dental Program which includes preventative education and corrective dental services to eligible persons within the scope of the contract.


Specific Duties and
Responsibilities:
Provide routine dental services: General restorative procedures, crown and bridge, removable prosthetics, endodontics, and oral surgery.

Supervise dental staff in conjunction with Dental Director.

Keep Dental Director abreast of current activities, situations, accomplishments, etc. in the Dental Department.

Assist in development of dental policies and aide Dental Director in their implementation.

Maintain clear channels of communication with all dental staff and supervisors.

Keep current with new techniques and philosophies related to all aspects of dental field.

Actively attend general and dental staff meetings.

Actively attend senior staff meetings at request of Dental Director.

Provide continuing dental education courses to staff and community members.


Qualifications:

Graduation from an ADA-accredited Dental School with DDS and D.M.D. degree.

Graduate of college or university with B.S. or BA degree or higher.

Current State of California Dental license.

Current DEA Certificate.

Current certificate on radiographic safety and procedure.

Possess a current CPR card.

At least one year professional or practical experience, internship, or residency training.

Good knowledge of dental principles, techniques, methods, and practices.

Preference given to Native Americans in accordance with P.L. 93-638

Must be willing to submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening test.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
