Software Engineer - Information Systems
We are looking for a talented, energetic software engineer with a strong background in open source OO languages & and web services to join our Information Systems Engineering team. The ISE team builds and maintains a web services platform which interfaces with 3rd party Business systems and internal service delivery systems. Candidate will work closely with Business System Analysts, Architects, Tech Leads, and developers to provide high quality applications supporting internal Business clients and external facing service support.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision within a small team environment, frequently interfacing with members of business operations, product management and product engineering teams. Must be well grounded in best engineering practices and object oriented design concepts - familiarity with Agile development a plus.
Responsibilities:
Support existing Python software interfacing between 3rd party business systems and internal products
Co-ordinate with systems analysts, architects and other engineers to define system requirements and design solutions
Write high level design scoping and estimates documents, specifications, detailed designs, code and unit tests.
Qualifications & Required Skills:
7
years experience developing OO solutions for enterprise systems
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and architectural concepts via a variety of media.
