DEKA offers Internships for full time students (must be at least 18 years of age). Internships last a minimum of ten weeks and summer internships are to begin no later than June 22, 2015.
Job Description:
Support Mechanical Engineering staff with project work, such as:
Assist with part validation and engineering test of prospective designs
Analyze structural integrity of designs
Evaluate dimensional accuracy of designs
Design and develop test fixtures
Requirements:
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Mechanical Engineering program, at least junior level (Masters level preferred)
Experience with CAD design software (ProE (Creo preferred))
Experience with Ansys structural analysis software is a plus
Strong interest in structural analysis, strengths of materials, statics and dynamics
Hands on mechanical experience (working on cars, or first robotics a plus)
Experience using Arduino electronics modules for measurement and control is a plus
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be detail oriented

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
