As a Enterprise MFT Developer on the Technology team, your primary focus will be on
This individual desired to have experience in manage file transfer (MFT), specifically with Axway Secure Transport version 5.2.1 and higher as an administrator and developer. This individual will need to work in a team of Business Partners Integration developers, administrators and architects for bigger projects but also independently to take requirements and build the interfaces from start to end. This individual will need to gather requirements and needs from internal and external users, recommend and design the solutions, develop, configure and implement the solution, and provide operational support. This individual will also need to rotate into 24/7 on-call support and are expected to work occasionally on after business hours and weekends.
Key Activities /
Responsibilities:
Develops software (hands on code development) to meet key business objectives
Gathers business requirements and develop conceptual design and technical design for multiple projects concurrently
Evaluates alternative solutions and recommends solution that best meets the need of the business
Translates user requirements into overall solution architecture for complex technical solutions
Reviews computer system capabilities, work flow and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system
Recognizes, identifies and documents potential areas where existing business processes require change, or where new processes need to be developed, and makes recommendations in these areas
Works independently and resolves complex problems with limited supervision.
Recommends schedules and performs software improvements and updates
Assure compliance with the standards, processes and procedures.
Conduct quality management reviews, ensuring the application design and related work products satisfy requirements
Lead development team members in various locations
Position Requirements
Excellent Knowledge of applications/systems integration - Middleware knowledge
2-4
years minimum of direct relevant experience in MFT.
o Experience in operating in a Linux environment
o Experience in scripting language
o In-depth knowledge of network transfer protocol; SSH, SFTP, FTPS, SSL, etc.
o Knowledge of encryption/decryption of PGP
o Experience with JEE/Java a plus
o Experience in MySql and Oracle
o Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to analyze technical information and work with a team spirit
Self-motivated with strong communication and written skills.
Knowledge of the Unified Markup Language (UML) preferred for design documentation
Strong communication skills, written and oral
Ability to multi-task, excellent team member with strong inter-personal and communication skills
Understanding of how required functionality would be supported by application technology.
Working knowledge of XML, XML Schema
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
Corresponding Core Processes:
Develop and maintain work plan for all work assignments
Application Design, Build, Test Deploy
Determine and submit Use Cases for all Designs
Develop and write all documentation deliverables
Support Stabilization and facilitate Long Term support
