Continuous Improvement Manager

This position has overall responsibility to drive Continuous Improvement within the Viasystems business unit.
This position requires US citizenship or Permanent Residency to meet ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) requirements.
Perform work in a safe manner following the EH&S procedures and reporting EH&S concerns, train staff to perform work safely and within EH&S guidelines; and create a safe work environment.
Responsible for the management and implementation of continuous improvement at VIASYSTEMS, including policy deployment, workplace organization, autonomous maintenance, standard work, daily management, Lean-Six Sigma, and development and execution of the site CIP Roadmap.
Lead and drive Major Kaizen's in support of the site CIP Roadmap targeted to achieve the annual strategic goals outlined showing year-over-year continuous improvement.
Drive 12 Major Kaizen's per year targeted to achieve at least $50,000 in cost reduction and/or $100,000 in working capital reduction / revenue increase and/or an equivalent strategic benefit.
Develops and trains personnel in the use of Value Stream Mapping with a focus on lead time and working capital reductions in all Value Streams.
Manage, train and administer Continuous Improvement Lean-Six Sigma methods and culture throughout the VIASYSTEMS organization.
Identify, conceptualize and design new processes and equipment, modify existing designs, and improve production techniques. Work with all levels of plant personnel and within structural groups to accomplish.
Establish and maintain clear, visual project schedules and demonstration story boards; prepare/complete reports and presentations as required.
Supervise and direct Continuous Improvement implementation teams.
Support and participate in corporate initiatives that improve overall business performance as needed such as Lean-Six Sigma, EH&S, Policy Deployment (Hoshin), etc.
Education & Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred)

Professional
Experience:
Certification as a Lean Instructor and/or Six Sigma Black Belt.
Proven Lean Manufacturing knowledge and implementation experience a must.
Proven track record leading numerous Kaizen's using Toyota Production System methodologies to include implementing Kanban PULL Systems resulting in the reduction of Inventory and Working Capital across the Supply Chain.
Minimum 5
years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in leading Lean/Six Sigma projects a must.
Knowledge:
Proven experience with established continuous improvement methodologies
Certification as a Black Belt with experience in managing Lean-Six Sigma Projects
Solid business and financial acumen
Proven project management experience
Competent with MS Office elements including Excel, Word, Viseo, PowerPoint, Project, and Access
Proficient with industry standard statistical software (Minitab etc.)
Skills:
Organization: ability to organize/motivate plant resources and assume responsibility with minimal supervision.
Human Relations Skills: ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional manner, including oral and written demonstrations to senior management.
Strong quantitative, analytical and systemic thinking skills with ability to thoroughly synthesize information from different sources
Ability to travel as needed usually up to one week at a time supporting Corporate level CIP initiatives.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
