This resource will also look at the big picture of search and reporting within the company, assisting in indexing and displaying different sources of content, working with other teams to bring their search to the next level, and suggesting projects that will improve the search user experience across the enterprise.
This person will work to expand current reporting to create dashboards that will allow business partners to create their own reports to analyze usage and impact.
The Analyst will work closely with our IT Development and Support team, as well as our business partners and search end users in order to uncover areas where search is not returning optimal results.
The Analyst will need to be self-directed and able to dig into significant amounts of data from metrics reporting and user feedback to suggest and prove the value of search improvements, working with IT to create new reports as needed.
Responsibilities Search Optimization- including monitoring reports, developing strategies to improve search, planning and carrying out projects related to search (50% of time) Reporting - including running any needed reporting to evaluate usage of our tools and content, analysis of reports to find patterns and suggest actions, and researching other reporting platforms to improve our knowledge (30% of time) UAT of system enhancements of all tools, including search (20% of time) Evaluate search environment settings and configurations, crawls and indexes, content metatags, weightings, synonyms, and search utilization reporting in order to look for patterns, problem content, problem terms, and generate configuration, content and search setting improvements Work on reporting for search and content usage to optimize the reports and tie conclusions reached from the reporting to actionable improvements The Analyst will need to be self-directed and use their expertise to determine strategies for Search and Reporting.
Even though this is an on-site position based at a Verizon Wireless location (Preferred:
Hilliard, OH, Greenville, SC or Orangeburg NY), the Analyst will be working within a virtual team and will need to work independently to implement tweaks, while bringing larger code-based solutions to Management for approval.

years working as a Search Analyst in an Enterprise Level Search environment 2
years working with IBM Watson/Vivisimo Velocity or similar search tool Experience with Reporting tools (Data Warehouse, Cognos, Adobe SiteCatalyst) Proficient with MS Office products, particularly Excel Experience with Content/Knowledge Management tools (Adobe CQ5, EMC Documentum) Familiarity with Agile development principles Required Skills:
