Senior Project Manager

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for achieving the development of assigned projects as a consistent part of a Program, according to the cost, time and quality commitments. in an environment focused on designing and developing computer application software that makes the world a safer place (e.g., technologies for fingerprint, iris, and facial recognition for identification systems).
The firm's solutions meet a wide range of security needs for people, companies and governments worldwide, including identity management, personal rights for residents and travelers, physical access to airports or other high-value sites, and logical access, either online or via secure terminals.
DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
o Manages, coordinates, and facilitates all aspects of short and long-term projects (planning, scheduling, cost, time and quality commitments, risk management, resources, etc.)
o Leads and manages the activities of the technical project team directly involved on design reviews and on technical issues with the project team; coordinates both internal and external teams, ensuring the consistency of technical tasks
o Participates in the establishment, organization and implementation of short and long range goals, objectives and policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates program effectiveness and effects changes required for improvement
o Establishes specifications, definition, justification, qualifications files
o Effectively translates customer's requirements into functional plans in coordination with systems engineering
o Serves as primary customer contact and liaison during the project: ensures the technical relationship with the customer, as part of the development plan
o Communicates regularly with executive management and Program Managers regarding the status of current project initiatives; obtains executive guidance and approval as required to advance initiatives
o Alerts appropriate parties regarding potential scope creep/issues from the original plan
o With common tools, maintains data that allows for ongoing project monitoring, and also to keep the Business Unit steering committee updated
o Oversees all facets of on-site system installation, deployment and customer coordination
o In cooperation with and approval of the Program Manager, plans for resource needs
o Implements applicable methodology, following appropriate internal processes
o Completes post-mortem project assessments, to suggest improvements (methods, tools, etc.) to capitalize on prior experience (lessons learned) within the Business Unit
o Establishes project quotes
REQUIRED SKILLS AND
Qualifications:
o Must have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field
o Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a technical role such as software development, systems analysis, database administration, etc.
o Must have a knowledge of project management principles, practices, procedures/processes, techniques, and tools
o Must be able to comprehend and effectively translate customer's requirements into functional technical specifications
o Must be able to develop project budgets and projections
o Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written as well as presentation skills
o Must have excellent interpersonal skills; must be confident and at ease dealing with a variety of personalities, both internally and externally; must be a facilitator, and have conflict resolution skills
o Must be able to develop strong business relationships with individuals serving as part of the project team, internal and external resources, and customers
o Must have effective team management skills
o Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills allowing for thorough consideration of all aspects associated with project implementation(s)
o Must be able to manage multiple, and sometimes conflicting, priorities as well as multiple tasks/project simultaneously while meeting company's commitments including project deadlines, quality, budget, and customer expectations; must have the resiliency to work extended hours, when required, specifically for proposal responses with specific time deadline
o Must have advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, etc.)
o Must be willing and able to travel and possess a valid US Passport
o US Citizenship is required
o Must be able to pass a FBI Back Ground Check

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND
Qualifications:
o Previous customer experience in the Federal sector
o Knowledge of biometric systems
o Prior experience supporting systems integration technology projects
o Prior experience in information systems (database management systems, network, and software development)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
