Student Relations Technician (Customer Service)

POSITION
Summary:



Creates and maintains files related to the management of student records, data input, reconciliation, correspondence and public contact. Will communicate with students and/or parents in appropriate areas of student information, progress, or concerns. Performs a variety of complex and specialized activities related to student records and all compliance issues related to Average Daily Attendance (ADA) and State educational mandates.

Front Office/Student Enrollment
oSchedule orientation for incoming students.
oComply with expulsion, ELL and special education, re-enrollment and reinstatement enrollment protocols.
oEnsure all required student enrollment paperwork is complete and correct.
oAccurately input student information into SIS including immunizations, enrollment dates, school track, and supervising teacher.
oProperly issue and track student work permits.
oProvide quality customer service.
oAnswer all incoming telephone calls and handle them in the appropriate manner.
oFile documents in student folders.

Compliance Program
oADA tracking and recording of work samples for accuracy.
oAudit student work samples as well as all documents that require mandatory compliance (Master Agreement, WSR, DLL, Synopsis, Report Cards, etc.)
oCheck report cards for completeness and accuracy before going to the registrar.
oFile student homework away.
oConduct Orientations for new students.
oAssist teachers with problem solving issues with compliance and PLS.
oCreate and maintain compliance and ADA checklists.
oVerify and confirm ADA in SIS system with form and tracking number.
oSubmit compliance error reports to management.
oPerforms other duties as assigned.
oAdherence to attendance policies.

JOB DESCRIPTION



POSITION/TITLE: Student Relations Technician



Qualifications:


oHigh School Diploma or General Education Diploma
oA minimum of two years of related business duties.
oGood record keeping techniques that demonstrate desirable planning and organizational skills.
oGood oral and written communication proficiency.
oWork independently with minimal direction.
oAble to meet schedules and timelines. Prepare general, statistical and special reports.
oDetail oriented individual that is systemic in their approach to all assigned tasks.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
oAbility to process a large amount of data and requests
oFinger Dexterity; using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, using calculator, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together. In addition, must be able to handle a high volume of paperwork, which will involve filing, faxing, and making copies, etc.
oTalking; especially where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
oAverage Hearing; able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
oVisual Abilities; good acuity necessary to constantly view the computer monitor, prepare or inspect documents or operate office machinery.
oPhysical Strength; sedentary work. Sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally (almost all office jobs).
oFrequent multi-tasking, changing of task priorities, and tedious, exacting work required.
oWorking in a noisy, distracting environment with frequent deadline pressures.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
