Qualifications:
o Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools employed in the general operations of engines, pumps, and related equipment; general maintenance work; safe work practices; basic biological and chemical principles o High school diploma or GED o Possess a valid driver's license There is a potential need to be on call and the worker must live within 30 miles of the site location.
Responsibilities:
o Learns and gains skills involving the maintenance of equipment and servicing work in the plant o Operates treatment facilities to control flow and processing of water/wastewater, sludge, and effluent o Operates valves and gates either manually or by remote control, starts and stops pumps, engines and generators to control and adjust flow and treatment processes o Monitors gauges, meters, and control panels o Observes and reports abnormalities to supervisor o Maintains shift log and records meter and gauge readings o Collects samples and performs routine laboratory tests and analyses o Performs routine maintenance functions and custodial duties o Understands and carries out oral and written directions o Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work o Performs other duties as required
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
