Summary
The position is responsible for preparing, negotiating, and administering multiple contracts pertaining to the various key IT suppliers, such as hardware, infrastructure, software/applications, Software as a Service (SaaS)/Application Service Provider (ASP) and services. This would include working with the contract through all phases until completion (pre-proposal through closeout) with a variety of suppliers. The incumbent performs risk assessments of proposal/contract terms and conditions. They will also be responsible to formulate and execute strategies to minimize potential risks and maximize value and expenditure to the business. This position reports to the EIS Systems Manager Contracts/Legal/Procurement.
Responsibilities
Works with attorney, contracts manager, contracts coordinator, buyers, customers, management, and program teams to resolve issues, secure approvals, and ensure successful contract execution; serves as point of contact for suppliers during all phases of the program.
Ensures adherence to contracts processes.
Will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and tracking of contract negotiations with clients (includes dealing with pricing, terms and conditions, and obtaining legal review).
Initiate, negotiate and manage ongoing supplier relationships.
Keep accurate record of all negotiations and relevant documentation.
Communicate with internal stakeholders, including the EIS Attorney, Department of Legal Affairs, Privacy and Risk Management to ensure that Providence needs and company goals are being addressed.
Facilitate system-wide standardization through coordination of contracting/ purchasing activities and enterprise-wide agreements
Maintain a system of ordering supplies and equipment in coordination with DOC department managers.
Understand and represent EIS Contracting/Legal/Procurement business needs on an enterprise and regional basis and represent the needs and capabilities of EIS Legal Contracting Purchasing.
Support EIS contracting and vendor value management program through successful execution and transparency, relying on effective interpersonal and communication skills to overcome resistance to use of methodologies.
Develop and maintain a contracting and sourcing strategy in accordance with EIS contract management principles.
Execute a comprehensive process and procedure improvement plan.
Qualifications
Minimum of at least a BS or MS Degree in a business related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Minimum of at least five (5) years' experience in leading contract negotiation, pricing and procurement activities is required.
Preference will be given to applicants with information technology, health care or project management experience
Preference will be given to applicants with a Paralegal certification with contracting experience or Certified Professional Contracts Management.
Excellent written/oral communication skills.
Strong negotiation skills.
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
Customer-focused with capability to resolve contracting issues with win-win solutions while meeting
company requirements/guidelines.
Proven experience meeting internal and external deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
