Outside Sales Representatives come from a variety of educational and work experience backgrounds. What they have in common is detailed below:
Value learning - Bachelor's degree or more is ideal; industry designations a plus
Sales personality combined with an entrepreneurial spirit - willing to invest the time and resources to be successful
Strong professional interpersonal and communication skills
Five-10 years customer service, sales, management, business ownership, finance and/or insurance experience is ideal, but personality and drive are most important!
Investment capital to use while building your agency and sales/support team
Confident, positive, likeable and trustworthy with the highest degree of integrity
Highly disciplined, driven, committed to success, able to see the big picture
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office products is helpful

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
