Civil Engineer/ Landscape Architect

The Chazen Companies has an immediate opportunity for an experienced professional (Project Landscape Architect or Project Civil Engineer) to join our Land Development team primarily based in our Poughkeepsie office.
The main responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
technical design and/or project management for public and private clients. Technical responsibilities include development of creative and constructible design solutions, preparation of inventory assessments, analyses and reports, development of detailed site and grading plans, erosion and sediment control plans, storm water management design/plantings, and construction detailing and specifications. Project management responsibilities may include development of professional services proposals, management of projects and clients, development of technical approaches to projects, and participate in public presentations and speaking engagements.
Qualified candidates will have a B.S. in Civil Engineering or a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture. Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of practical experience in a professional consulting firm environment. Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Landscape Architect (RLA) in NY is not required but a plus. Candidates should be proficient in technical writing, have solid verbal and written communication skills, and be able to interact effectively with clients, project teams, and colleagues internally. Solid CADD design skills and experience with Civil 3D are a plus. Experience in project management is desired for this position.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
