You could work on an array of projects ranging from Mobile Application development, Online Banking, Automated Testing, or support for a variety of JavaScript development projects.
In this position, you could experience personal involvement with projects from design and development through product and client implementation. A successful candidate will join a high-performing group of technologists, committed to driving customer value and satisfaction through delivery and innovation. This role will be a critical component to our client's successes, and interact with all levels of the project team including users, analysts, business owners, architects, and management.
This hands-on position requires a desire to deliver complex technical solutions, in an
exciting fast-paced environment, alongside a team that exhibits an excellent sense of comradery, and desire to learn and work with technology.
Responsibilities:
Quickly analyze business and technical requirements as input for developing high quality technical solution
Develop technical solutions throughout the prototype, development, testing, and pilot phases; implement major components of the solution
Collaborate effectively with customer and vendor technical teams
Support creation of technical deliverables consistent with client and Blackstone requirements
Stay current with associated technology advances in the marketplace and introduce new tools and technologies to the practice
Travel to customer and vendor sites (up to 30% of time), however majority of development work is expected to be performed offsite (i.e., in Blackstone offices 70% of the time)
Minimum
Qualifications:
2-6 years in software development and engineering
Demonstrable experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Backbone, Angular, React, Ember)
Java/J2EE, Spring Framework (Core, Web), Spring MVC
Web services (SOAP/REST), HTML5, CSS, XML, JSON
Experience with CSS frameworks or pre-processors (e.g. bootstrap, LESS or SASS)
Test tools and frameworks such as JUnit, mocha, Jasmine, SOAPUI
Preferred
Qualifications:
Strong communication skills
Experience working with native mobile platforms (e.g., iOS, Android)
Experience in Agile development methodologies
Experience with Spring Integration and enterprise integration patterns
Experience with Cordova
Experience with Financial Services, Banking, and/or Telecom industries
Unix/Linux systems: scripting and basic administration
