Position Purpose The Server Administrator is responsible for maintaining and securing all of UniFirst Corporation servers.
These servers support all of the company's applications and locations.
The Server Administrator is also responsible for technical supports the applications that reside on the servers.
This includes installations and upgrades.
The Server Administrator is a key technical resources for other IT Staff members, providing advice, training and technical support for various projects.
Problems and Challenges The Server Administrator will be responsible for all aspects of UniFirst Corporation server environment.
The Server Administrator will be tasked with multiple projects while ensuring that servers are up and secure Essential Position Functions Principal Accountabilities 1.
Maintain all Hyper-V and physical servers to company specifications.
Build new Hyper-V clusters and virtual servers as needed.
Administer Veeam for all virtual server backups.
Administer NAS Storage for Veeam backups.
Administer Microsoft SQL Servers.
Administer Microsoft IIS Web Servers and the Applications they support.
Apply security patches to servers, utilizing IBM End Point Manager (BigFix).
Install, upgrade and maintain applications residing on servers.
Troubleshoot all application, hardware and software issues.
Support UniFirst Polycom Video Conferencing system.
Upgrade switches, servers, PC's and switches at UniFirst Corporation field locations.
Monitor systems for possible issues utilize UniFirst's server management tools.
Support IBM Domino Systems Application Servers.
3 rd level support for all technical issues.
Work on Projects as assigned.
Job Requirements Position Requirements 1.

years supporting Windows systems.
3
years supporting Hyper-V virtualization.
Experience with Veeam Backup Software Experience with IBM End Point Manager (BigFix) or other automated patching tools.
Ability to remotely diagnose system issues.
Ability to multi-tasks, handling ongoing projects and support issues.
Experience support corporate email systems.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
A bility to independently research and learn new technologies.
Must be able to travel 25% of the time.
Position is an on-call position.
