Medical Coder Telecommute Opportunity
A company that provides world-class revenue cycle management solutions to the healthcare industry has an open position for Virtual Outpatient Remote Medical Coder.
Individuals must be able to fulfill the following
Responsibilities:
Reviewing clinical documentation and diagnostic results
Accurately coding outpatient conditions and procedures
Qualifications for this position include:
RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CPC
At least two years of experience with same day surgery, observation, emergency department, ancillary clinics, and outpatient diagnostic coding in an acute care facility
Knowledge of accepted medical abbreviations and their meanings to support accurate code assignment
Knowledgeable in the use of specialized references such as the ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 books, medical dictionaries and texts, and medical journals
Must have extensive knowledge of AHA Coding Clinic, CPT Assistant, and all official coding guidelines
Access to high-speed internet and be in compliance with PHS Remote Work Agreement specificationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
