Job Description
Key Responsibilities / Functions:
This engineering position is a design and development job working on the latest power amplifier technology for Remote Radio Heads (RRH), or for fully integrated base stations.
The primary focus will be on LTE wireless base station technology.
This engineer will partner with a cross functional team of radio designers, digital designers, physical designers, thermal engineers, software developers and test engineers in creating new RF products.
The goals of these radio products are to improve efficiency, reduce size, reduce cost, improve reliability, and add new capabilities.
In terms of new capabilities, the instantaneous radio bandwidth continues to increase, the amplifiers increasingly need to cover wider bands and multi-band products are on the horizon.
Amplifier efficiency and performance is critical to these applications.
Required
Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
Must have at least 7 years of experience working on power amplifier designs for base stations.
Must have experience with the design and layout of high efficiency power amplifiers ranging in power from 30W to 120W in frequency bands from 400MHz up 3GHz.
Experience with LTE RF specifications and 3GPP measurements related to RF amplifier performance.
Experience with WCDMA, WIMAX, CDMA, or GSM RF specifications and measurements are a plus.
Experience introducing new amplifier products into volume manufacturing.
Experience with design verification and production testing of amplifier products
Applicant must be willing to write and review Manufacturing Test Requirements
Experience improving the power amplifier reliability and protecting the amplifier from unexpected signal conditions.
Ability to work from system requirements and architecture documents to design and develop products that meet those requirements.
MSEE is required. A major in Communications theory or signal processing is a plus.
Applicant must be able to work well in team environment.

$130-160K salary range. Need to have experience with 30-60W, board level HW, lineups, process yield, product dev no R&D.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
