Director of Engineering. Sussex Wire, Inc., Easton, Pennsylvania. Develop and execute the companys engineering strategy to meet current and future customer requirements. Key responsibilities include the following: (1) Plan and formulate engineering programs and prioritize activities to meet various project requirements. Oversee planning, control, integration and completion of engineering projects; (2) Develop and administer project development control processes for all proposed, active, and approved engineering projects, ensuring that engineering resources are efficiently utilized and schedules met; (3) Provide guidance and hands-on leadership to the component, tool and manufacturing engineering functions, including technical design, and process methods, measurement methods, and analysis. Review product design for compliance with engineering codes, company standards, governmental requirements, and other customer specifications. Evaluate and approve drafting and process changes, specifications, and drawing releases; (4) Evaluate new designs and component redesigns for proprietary protection opportunities in terms of patents, copyrights, trademarks, licensees etc. Oversee companys intellectual property activities; (5) Lead engineering department interaction with marketing, sales, operations, and customers to provide technical liaison services and expertise and to review engineering and business related matters (e.g., design questions, performance problems, commitments). Participate in product presentations and customer meetings; and (6) Lead efforts associated with engineering best practices, and identify and investigate potential disruptive technology breakthroughs.
Must have Masters degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering plus a minimum of five years of mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing setting. Job duties during the required five years of experience must have included the following: (1) Identification, analysis, selection and testing of tooling materials specific to Cold Forming and Heading miniature and micro-miniature part production processes; (2) Application of finite element analysis theory in the determination of optimal miniature and micro-miniature part forging progressions through multiple die and punch cold forming stations; (3) Identification, selection, analysis and testing of optimal raw material for use in the design for cold forming and heading manufacturability; (4) Engineering project development, design and management within the context of miniature and micro-miniature cold forming manufacturing techniques; (5) Use of CAD design and modeling software applications for miniature and micro-miniature cold forming and cold heading part design and progressions; (6) Research and development of best practices for unknown and previously undeveloped cold formable and headable miniature and micro-miniature components and parts; and (7) Application of Fractal theory to analyze material flow over tooling. The required five years of experience must also have included at least three years where the duties included supervision and/or management of multiple Cold heading Technicians. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
